Franciscan Medical Group will provide outpatient and preventive medical care and referral services at a new healthcare clinic for students. The Student Health Services clinic will open on campus, in the Laborer's Hall building, on August 15.
Tacoma-based Franciscan Medical Group was chosen out of a number of strong local candidates to be the healthcare partner for the university. Medical staff will provide students with primary and preventive healthcare and treat students for sports injuries, minor illnesses, allergies, sexual and reproductive-related issues, women's health and other conditions related to general wellness. Referrals for specialty services or physicians in the community will also be available. Services will be available Monday through Friday on campus, at designated hours. With an on-campus location, the clinic will provide healthcare to students that is convenient and accessible during school hours.
